Is There an Afterlife?

From where I stand, as a medium, it would be impossible for me to deny the daily presence of people whom have, “crossed-over”. I receive information about so many people’s lives, their memories, what they loved, and what made them cringe while in this physical realm. Sadly, there seems to never be enough to show someone that this is the truth, besides teaching them to do mediumship themselves. To experience giving messages to others, people finally can see this is world is so much more than they previously thought. Many studies have been done, and it is still a scary subject to many. People rely upon only their faith and what others have told them. I was always the type that had to see for myself. Losing so many people at a young age made me seek this out, and spend a lifetime proving my beliefs. Research is still ongoing, will it ever be common knowledge that we move to another type of existence?

Studies related to the afterlife, near-death experiences (NDEs), and related phenomena are conducted by researchers from various fields, including psychology, medicine, and neuroscience. While these studies do not definitively prove the existence of an afterlife, they explore experiences and phenomena that some people interpret as suggestive of an afterlife or alternate states of consciousness. Here are some areas of research and studies related to the afterlife:

  1. Near-Death Experiences (NDEs): NDEs are often studied to understand the reported experiences of individuals who have come close to death. Researchers examine common elements of NDEs, such as feelings of peace, seeing a bright light, having out-of-body experiences, and encountering deceased loved ones.
  2. Veridical Perception: Some NDE reports include claims of veridical perception, where individuals report accurately observing events or objects in the physical world while their bodies were unconscious. Researchers investigate these claims to determine their validity. This is an area in which I’ve had 1st hand experience in and do on a regular basis without having to come close to death. Remote viewing can be exceptionally accurate, and easily taught. My circle has had great success in finding lost items, pets, and even being able to tell me I was making dog food on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
  3. Terminal Lucidity: Terminal lucidity refers to cases where individuals with severe cognitive impairment or brain damage suddenly regain clarity and coherence shortly before death. Research aims to understand the mechanisms behind this phenomenon.
  4. Psychological and Cognitive Factors: Researchers examine how psychological and cognitive factors might contribute to experiences that individuals interpret as encounters with the afterlife. This includes exploring the role of brain chemistry, memory, and altered states of consciousness.
  5. Longitudinal Studies: Some researchers conduct longitudinal studies of individuals who have had NDEs to assess the long-term psychological and spiritual effects of these experiences.
  6. Hospice and Palliative Care Research: Studies in hospice and palliative care settings aim to better understand end-of-life experiences, including the psychological and emotional aspects of death and dying.
  7. Cross-Cultural and Historical Studies: Researchers explore cross-cultural variations in beliefs about the afterlife and how these beliefs have evolved over time.

It might be that these studies do not offer definitive proof of an afterlife. The interpretation of these phenomena varies among researchers, and the subject remains a topic of debate and exploration within the scientific and philosophical communities. For me though, it isn’t a belief, it’s a fact. We can still talk to our loved one’s, and even hear from our beloved pets that have moved onto that other place. How much better would the world be if we all saw that we go on?
